Mr. A J John, a volunteer, called us one day to say he could not read that evening for a student because his mother had passed away and he had to be there.

Nethrodaya was overwhelmed by this sense of commitment.

Mr. Rajeswaran, to mark a day of personal significance, wished to sponsor dinner for Jyothir Bhavan residents and also have dinner with them. The residents wanted chicken on the menu. Even though he was a vegetarian, Mr. Rajeswaran said yes at once.

At that moment, he saw only their needs, not his sentiments. It is this spirit of empathy that guides Nethrodaya.
